Collection: Ceramides
Ceramides are a class of fatty acids called lipids. They are naturally found in skin cells and make up about 50% of the outer layer of the skin (epidermis). As we grow older these fatty acids are lost over time which contributes to fine lines, wrinkles and saggy skin.
The benefits of ceramides include helping skin create a barrier to prevent permeability, they lock moisture into your skin which helps prevent dryness and irritation and may also help protect your skin epidermis from environmental damage.
Ceramides are great for dry, dehydrated, aging and sensitive skin. Acne prone skin types on acne treatments also benefit from using ceramides to soothe possible adverse effects of the treatment.
